Through prayer, care, and counseling at Third Church, you can find encouragement, be filled with hope, and be strengthened as you journey through life.

Prayer

Prayer Team

A dedicated team of volunteers provides confidential prayer support. Our desire is to be a safe place and a listening ear as you seek God’s heart, healing, and restoration. We offer a variety of opportunities to receive prayer, and we invite you to come at a time that works for you.

Sundays – During Worship

Prayer teams are available at the 9:15 AM and the 10:45 AM services in the Sanctuary and Auditorium. Teams will be available to pray with you during our last time of worship as well as in the post-service window.

Seasons of Prayer

Seasons of Prayer is a ministry for those desiring extended times of prayer. Over three sessions, you will meet with a prayer minister for one hour. If interested, please fill out an application to help us understand more about your prayer needs.

Place of Prayer
First Sunday of Each Month, Following 9:15 + 10:45 AM Services

The Place of Prayer is open! If you are looking for a more private, quiet place to pray with a team, we would love to meet with you on the first Sunday of each month following the 9:15 and 10:45 services. Simply stop in to pray or email stephh@third.church if you would like to make an appointment.

Refresh
First Thursday of Each Month, 12:00–1:00 PM

You are invited to begin each month with a pause to experience “Refresh.” On the first Thursday of each month, we set the table in the Auditorium, where prayer ministers are available to bless you and pray over you in a peaceful atmosphere of quiet prayer music. Note cards are provided if you wish to share any requests with our team. You are welcome to come and go any time in the hour as it works for your schedule.

Healing Prayer Training

We offer two levels of prayer training for those who would like to learn how to pray for people. After you complete Level 1, you are eligible to apply for the Prayer Ministry Team at Third Church. Even if you do not want to serve on a prayer team, we welcome anyone to be equipped to pray well for their own family and friends. For more information on training, contact Steph Hietbrink.

Care

Community Care Team

Community Care Teams visit people’s homes to offer encouragement and prayer. They provide ongoing support for the congregation through regular visits to the elderly, those experiencing health challenges, and others in need of care and connection.

Care Companions

Care Companions are laypeople assigned to walk with a person one-on-one over several years with the purpose of building lasting relationships. They provide care to people of Third Church who are experiencing longer-term care needs.

Meals Ministry

Meals are offered short-term during times of difficulty/illness.

Counseling

Counseling Assistance

Need counseling, but can’t fit it in the budget? Third Church provides funds to help people who need assistance to pay for Christian counseling. This program requires an application process, as well as updates from assistance recipients every six months. Email Jane Kraft for more information.
