THIRD KiDS
At THIRD KiDS, your child can experience God’s love, begin to understand the incredible way He created them, and learn to share the love of Jesus at home, in school, in our community, and beyond!
Sundays
Our Sunday morning kids program is available during the 9:15 and 10:45 AM worship services. Explore our classrooms and register your child for an upcoming Sunday morning experience!
Classrooms
Infant Nursery
(birth–24 months)
The Begin Nursery helps our youngest ones learn about God’s love for them. The nursery is located on the upper level by the Fellowship Hall. To help the nursery run smoothly, all parents are asked to serve once per quarter.
2 Years–Pre-K
Kids experience the love of Jesus in a joyful, fun-filled, and safe environment through play, singing, Bible stories, and crafts. Room breakdowns for these levels are:
- Move Room: 2 years
- Grow Room: 3 years
- Launch Room: 4 years to Pre-K
Kindergarten–5th Grade
Children will engage in small and large group experiences, including Bible storytelling and discussions, memorizing Bible verses, crafts, games, worship time and hands-on learning activities. In this age group, children will learn the redemptive plan of God’s Big Story and how their story intersects with God’s!
They will explore the Old and New Testament and celebrate the wonder of God in each lesson through a 4-part journey of Curiosity, Belief, Faith, and Identity. They will also learn these foundational truths:
- God knows me.
- Jesus loves me.
- The Holy Spirit leads me.
- I am a child of God.
Sensory Room
(all ages)
The Sensory Room serves families with children who have unique needs and is open during the Sunday 9:15 AM service. The room creates a safe and soothing space for kids who are feeling overwhelmed in a Children’s Ministry setting, and has a wide range of toys, books and sensory stations to help create a calm environment. If you’d like to use the Sensory Room, we ask that you register in advance.
Please click the appropriate age registration link and select Sensory Room.

Frequently Asked Questions
How do I register my child to participate?
While it is helpful for our volunteers if you register in advance, you are also welcome to register your child when you arrive! We’d recommend parking in the lower level, then walking past the cafe to our THIRD KiDS check-in location, and a volunteer will help you register if you have not already done so.
Where should I park?
If you have children, please park in the Lower Level Lot on the north side of the building in one of the First-Time Visitor spots and enter the doors under the awning to find your way to the kids check-in area.
What programs do you have in place to keep my kids safe?
Third Church is committed to providing a safe & secure environment for all children, students and volunteers who participate in ministries and opportunities sponsored by our church. The following policies are part of our Safe Kids program.
Child Check-In
We use an electronic child check-in system in which each child gets a numbered nametag that is placed on the child. The parents receive a sticker indicating the identification number on the child’s nametag which we use to call parents if needed during a service. The parent is also required to show this sticker in order to pick up their child.
Restroom/Diaper Policy
Our policy asks that only female adults change diapers and take children to the restroom. Each child must be accompanied to the restroom by two volunteers.
Locked Doors
Doors lock 10 minutes after discipleship begins during services.
How do you handle food allergies?
Nuts, peanut butter, any products containing nuts, or any food processed with nuts are not permitted in the Third Church kids area. Parents are requested to inform us about all food allergies during registration. Children with a food allergy have this information noted on their nametag.
Do you perform background checks?
We perform background checks on everyone over the age of 18 who volunteers with children and students. All volunteers are required to watch a video and sign off in agreement with our Third Church leadership guidelines.
What happens if my child needs me during the service?
If there is any type of emergency concerning your child or if they need you, we will notify you by putting your child’s number from their nametag up on the screen during the service. In an emergency, you will also receive a text.
My child has specific sensory needs—what options do you have for them?
The Sensory Room serves families with children who have unique needs and is open during the Sunday 9:15 AM service. Children can also be provided with a one-on-one buddy who will accompany them throughout the morning. If your child has any additional needs, please email us so we can discuss accommodations.
