Frequently Asked Questions
Where should I park as a first-time guest?
If you have children, please park in the Lower Level Lot on the north side of the building in one of the First-Time Visitor spots and enter the doors under the awning to find your way to the kids check-in area.
If you are not checking in kids, please park near our Main Entrance on the south side of the building in one of First-Time Visitor spots and enter the doors to join our Sanctuary or Auditorium services.
What programs do you have for my kids?
We have age-specific classes for kids and students of all ages. Visit our Children’s page to explore programs and register your child.
What should I wear?
We want everyone to feel welcome and comfortable, so you’ll see a wide range of attire on Sunday mornings. We invite you to dress casually.
What if my baby starts crying during the service?
We are a five-generation church that welcomes each generation—even if they need to cry during service.
What if my kids need me during the service?
When you check your child into their classroom, you and your child will both receive a name tag with a number on it. If your child needs you during the service, we will flash that number up on the screen to let you know.
Can I watch church online?
We offer a livestream of our 9:15 AM service every Sunday.
What are services like?
We offer a variety of service experiences at Third Church! Here’s a brief look at what you can expect at each service:
Sanctuary
8:00 AM: A more traditional worship service with readings, prayers, and a 30-minute teaching. Music is normally led by piano, organ, quartets or choir.
9:15 & 10:45 AM: A modern, casual worship service that features contemporary music, a 30-minute teaching, and opportunities to participate in group prayer, small group discussions, and other activities. Music is led by drums, bass, guitars, and keyboards.
Auditorium
9:15 AM: A smaller, more informal version of our Sanctuary worship that follows our same teaching series. Music is led by drums, bass, guitar, and keyboards.
What disability accommodations do you offer?
In a healthy church, everyone belongs. We welcome those with disabilities to all services, groups, classes, and experiences, and provide the following accommodations:
- Wheelchair Accessibility: Handicap-accessible parking is located in both parking lots with easy elevator access to both levels of our building. Restrooms are all accessible and seating in our worship venues is flexible so that we can accommodate.
- Sensory Room: The Sensory Room serves families with children who have unique needs and is open during the Sunday 9:15 AM services. The room creates a safe and soothing space for kids who are feeling overwhelmed in a Children’s Ministry setting, and has a wide range of toys, books and sensory stations to help create a calm environment.
- T-Coil Hearing System: A T-Coil hearing system is installed in the front of the sanctuary near the chairs, which allows those with hearing aids equipped with T-Coils to hear sound directly from the church sound system and reduces background noise. If you currently have a hearing aid equipped with T-Coils, you can turn your hearing aid to that setting to use this system. Sitting in the chairs near the front will give you the highest signal quality. If you are outside the chairs, such as in the pews, the system will be less reliable.
- Wireless Devices: We offer wireless hearing devices free of charge at the Welcome Center. These devices are used as over-the-ear headphones and allow for increased volume which is controlled by the user. This system may be helpful for those who have diminished hearing.
